Best Back-Up Software Package I Tested. This software works! It does back-ups, copies, and mirrors. I had to access my external drive from my laptop after my main business computer developed a software problem. All my Nova back-ups were there and worked.
I had left a message on their customer support voice mail on a Sunday. They called me as soon as they opened on Monday. They stayed on the line 30 minutes with me - they answered all questions and walked me through ALL features of the product.
It is easy to use and follows the Windows Explorer format.

I just wanted to let you know that the more I use NovaBackup Server Edition, the more I'm impressed with it.
One backup activity I tried to do with my client's Backup Exec was to run a second Backup to File, but to a folder on the backup server, which we connect to in the owner's house over a broadband VPN from the office. BE could not do it - period. It always had some issue.
When I tried the same thing with NovaBackup, it's like it said "OK" and went off and did it. No complaints, no delays, just done. We are talking about 29 gigs, compressed here, so we're talking about some serious backup here.
The other eye opener was the horribly long time BE took to restore even a simple small file. I mean it took hours to search through the backup file to find it. NovaBACKUP? I didn't have time to get up to go get a cup of coffee when it said "DONE!"
I am really glad I've become a reseller for NovaBACKUP. I'm even starting to find among my IT friends that it NovaBACKUP is "The dirty little secret" in a number of places. A number of my friends found the "Enterprise" level big buck programs wouldn't do what they needed, or if it could, it needed add ons at addition cost (which the salesman "forgot" to mention) Out of desperation thay tried NovaBACKUP and it did it! One simple package to backup their data, that's all they wanted, and Nova BACKUP gave it too them. Good job!

Back in 2001 I purchased a new computer. I wanted a backup program to back
up critical data such as Quicken 2002 and other files. It wasn't until
today that I had the need to ever restore my data because of DLL errors I
was receiving from Quicken. I first went to their web site to read their
troubleshooting database. The procedures that they would have put me through
would have taken hours of rebuilding the program and restoring the data.
Then I remembered that I had your product NovaBACKUP v6.60 and had been using
it to backup the complete Quicken directories and subdirectories. I decided
to try a restore and once complete the program started without any DLL

is by far the best single-server backup solution I have ever seen. The
automatic formatting of tapes and easy (and working!) log-emailing functions
are super-appreciated! Also the combination of tape and optical disk storage
is extremely useful. In comparison to the built-in backup of Windows 2003
Server, it is lightyears ahead, and well priced. Keep up the good work.

I evaluated your product for my customer against other similarly priced products (e.g. Dantz Retrospect, Stomp Backup My PC) and recommended NovaBACKUP. The two main reasons for my recommendation were: 1) simplicity of the user interface - my customer is not technically savvy, and 2) speed of backup - for whatever reason, NovaBACKUP was substantially faster than Backup My PC. Other reasons include price, availability, and information on the NovaStor website. I have not had to use NovaStor's product support yet so I cannot comment at this time.
I work with many small business who need a straightforward means for backing up their data and will continue to recommend NovaBACKUP in the future.
