Hyper-V Backup
The Hyper-V Backup feature backs up virtual machines.
1.Navigate to Backup/Restore > Backup Jobs.
⇨ The Job Management window opens.
2.In the Backup Jobs area, select > New > Single Job > Hyper-V from the context menu.
⇨ The dialog window for the definition of the backup job (Job tab) is opened.
The name of the job, the node, the server, the virtual machines and the backup scheme are selected under the Job tab.

Text field for the job name. |
Node |
Selection menu: All the systems on which the node can run can be selected. |
Server(s)/VM(s) |
The virtual machines selected for the backup job are displayed in this area. |

Opens the dialog box for selecting the virtual machines to be backed up. All virtual machines on the system are displayed. |

Backup type: Select whether to back up all virtual machines, only active, inactive, or customer-specific virtual machines. |

All VMs |
All VMs that reside on the server are backed up. |

Custom VMs |
Only the selected VMs are backed up. |

Sort the list. The order also specifies the order of backup jobs. |

Deletes the selected selection in the VM(s) / Host(s) window. |
Backup scheme |

All data is backed up, a complete backup of all data. |

Application |
Auswahlmenü: All already defined applications (for example, applications or customers) are available as a selection. Any number of applications can be created under Manage Applications. Using the Application attribute in the Job Manager, user-specific views can be used for example. Customers or applications. |
Accounting ID |
Text field for the input of e.g. Billing numbers, customer numbers. Using the attribute Accounting ID in the Job Manager, the user-specific views for the billing numbers or customer numbers are filtered. |

The target and the schedule for the backup job are defined under the tab Target / Schedule.
