Setting up a VMware proxy
General information
A proxy must be set up before a backup job can be defined for a virtual machine.

2.
Select the desired node in the Nodes pane and left-click the Edit Node from the context menu.
The Edit Node dialog box opens.
3.
Click on the List of managed EXX/vCenter combo box to view the previously defined proxies or to define a new proxy.
4.
Select Manage Proxy to define a new proxy.
The VMware Server Configuration dialog box opens.
5.
Click on [Add].
6.
Enter the server name, user name, and password.
7.
Click on [Test].
This tests if the login information (user name and password) is correct.
Result
